Kyoho grape is a kind of excellent grape variety with large fruit grains, sweet taste and fragrance, but its disadvantages are also obvious, such as low fruit setting rate, short fruit brush and easy to fall fruit in late period, especially before picking. In production, preventing fruit falling before harvest is an important measure to ensure the yield and commodity value of Kyoho grape.

At the same time, some orchards were expanded in the early stage, and the fruit brush was shorter. Fruit hanging volume is large, fruit coloring is difficult, often use some products to promote coloring, which usually increases the risk of fruit falling.

To meet the Kyoho grape requirements of rapid colouring and preventing fruit falling before harvest, the crop technical team of Zhengshi Chemical Industry has carried out the test of colouring and preventing fruit falling of Kyoho grape:

Jin Litong®Prevent falling fruit test

Test time and place: Xingtai city, Hebei province, July 23rd, 2018 Research Center

Varieties: Kyoho grape

Test Product: Bian Hong®(30% DA-6+Ethephon)+Jin Litong®(5%NAA)

Test Method: Added with 5000 times of Jin Litong at the beginning of color transformation,  compared with the contrast without Jin Litong and only water treatment. Research when 7days past after the treatment.

7days after treatment

No grain dropping in the treated area

Many grain dropping in the contrast area

Test effect: It can be clearly seen from the investigation that the combination of Bian Hong®(30% DA-6+Ethephon)+Jin Litong®(5%NAA)  is not only faster and more colorful than the control in coloring, but also basically does not fall fruit after shaking the fruit ear with hands. But the contrast treatment fell fruit seriously.

Generally, NAA 10-20mg/L spray is recommended for preventing falling fruit before harvest. Due to the great differences in field management level, water and fertilizer situation in different regions, different varieties have different risk of cracking fruit. Therefore, small-scale experiments should be conducted before applying it to prevent falling fruit before harvest.
