Egypt Agrochemical Exhibition 2026: ZS-CHEM Stress Resistance PGRs Draw Continued Interest
Egyptian distributors and large farms showed strong interest in heat and drought tolerance regulators for rice, maize, mango, and tomato.
Although the Egypt Agrochemical Exhibition (January 17–19, 2026) concluded several months ago, ZS-CHEM’s plant growth regulator (PGR) solutions for abiotic stress management have continued to attract attention from local importers, distributors, and large-scale growers.
Egypt’s hot, arid climate and reliance on irrigated agriculture create a strong demand for regulators that can mitigate heat stress, reduce flower and fruit drop, and improve water use efficiency. During the exhibition, ZS-CHEM highlighted three main stress resistance product lines:
0.01% Brassinolide – enhances photosynthesis and heat tolerance in rice and maize
Prohexadione calcium –controls excessive vegetative growth, shortens internodes, and improves lodging resistance in rice, wheat, and fruit trees.
IBA – stimulates strong root development, increases transplant survival, and enhances water/nutrient uptake under heat and drought.
Visitors to the ZS‑CHEM booth showed particular interest in combining prohexadione calcium for sturdy, short straw (helpful against wind‑induced lodging in the Nile Delta) and IBA for fast root establishment in sandy or reclaimed soils.“Even after the exhibition closed, we kept receiving technical requests from Egyptian agronomists – not just for samples, but for field trial protocols and residue data on prohexadione calcium,” said James, export manager at ZS‑CHEM. “We also see growing demand for IBA in tree nurseries and vegetable transplant production.”
To date, ZS‑CHEM has shipped free samples of prohexadione calcium (various formulation strengths) and IBA (powder and soluble liquid) to more than 20 Egyptian farms and distributors. The company has also provided COA, MSDS, and ICAMA (for prohexadione calcium) to support local product registration.
