Sri Lanka Agrochemical Exhibition 19-20th Jan 2026: ZS-CHEM Showcases Targeted PGR Solutions for Tea, Coconut, Rubber & Fruit Crops

Sri Lanka Agrochemical Exhibition 19-20th Jan 2026: ZS-CHEM Showcases Targeted PGR Solutions for Tea, Coconut, Rubber & Fruit Crops

For fruits (mango, banana, papaya): Flowering inducers, fruit set enhancers, and size increasers.

Although the Sri Lanka Agrochemical Exhibition ([insert dates]) concluded several months ago, ZS‑CHEM’s plant growth regulator (PGR) portfolio, tailored to Sri Lanka’s major tropical cash crops – tea, coconut, rubber, and fruits – continues to draw inquiries from estate managers, distributors, and government extension officers.

Sri Lanka’s plantation agriculture faces challenges such as uneven shoot growth in tea, poor root establishment in coconut and rubber, irregular flowering in fruits, and post-harvest losses. During the exhibition, ZS‑CHEM presented targeted solutions for each crop:

Tea

6‑BA (6‑Benzylaminopurine) – delays flowering, directs nutrients to vegetative buds, and improves subsequent flush yield.

Brassinolide (BR) – enhances stress tolerance during drought or cloudy weather, maintaining quality.

Coconut & Rubber

IBA (Indole‑3‑Butyric Acid) – stimulates strong root growth in coconut seedlings and rubber budded stumps, increasing transplant survival.

For coconut: GA3 combined with micronutrients to improve nut set and reduce button shedding.

Fruits (Mango, Banana, Papaya, Citrus)

GA3 + 6‑BA – for increasing fruit size and reducing drop in banana and papaya.

Brassinolide – to improve fruit quality and shelf life.

Visitors to the ZS‑CHEM booth particularly appreciated the crop‑wise technical brochures and ready‑to‑use dilution charts for smallholders and large estates alike.

“We received many questions about tea flowering control and rubber stimulation – these are real pain points here,” said Jerry, export manager at ZS‑CHEM. “Even after the show, we are helping Sri Lankan partners with residue data and trial protocols for sodium nitrophenolate on mango and GA3 on tea.”

To date, ZS‑CHEM has sent free samples of selected PGRs to over 15 tea estates, coconut nurseries, and fruit farms.

Ongoing Support for the Sri Lankan Market

ZS‑CHEM continues to assist Sri Lankan partners regardless of exhibition attendance:

Free sample kits (crop‑specific combinations) for field trials

Registration support – residues, toxicology, and 5‑batch reports for key PGRs

OEM/ODM formulations – water soluble powders, liquids, tablets, etc.

Customized crop guides in English or Sinhala/Tamil
